Welcome, from the Sandfort ladies.

If anyone knows the power of being a martial arts family, it’s Mrs Master and Miss Master Sandfort! You can see as soon as you meet them that they have a passion and drive to share it with the world.

Together, these ladies are dedicated to bringing the community a safe space to strengthen physical and emotional fitness. Not to mention, teaching students not only the competitive side of martial arts, but the physical safety and awareness that martial arts gifts us.

This amazing mother and daughter team love with their whole heart, give unconditionally and invest their souls into the very thing that our world needs more of - building wonderful humans.

Character Development

At Legacy, we are incredibly invested in building students to be the best version of themselves. We heavily incorporate life-skills into our programs and learn about them in every single class.

Confidence, resilience, respect, self-discipline, positive self talk, communication, integrity, perseverance & many more are topics we care deeply about.

Weaponry

In the Beginners program, you’ll learn basic short staff self defence, and hand-eye coordination with the nunchuck.

In the Accelerate Program, you’ll learn an array of weaponry over specialised seminars.

Sparring

In the Beginners program, you’ll learn self-control through non-contact sparring. You’ll further learn control in our Accelerate Program through light contact sport sparring.

Our sparring is designed to teach reflexes, speed, fitness, and control. It is sport sparring - the goal is to accumulate points to win your match. Excessive contact is not allowed.

Poomsae & Form

A poomsae is a pattern of offensive and defensive movements. Poomsae is a tool used to grade high ranking colour belts and Black Belts.

In the Beginners program, you’ll learn combinations from a poomsae, but are not required to remember the complete pattern for your rank certification.

Self-Defence

In the Beginner program, you will learn self-defence through confidence & assertive voice training, as well as light contact defensive movement tactics.

In the Accelerated Program, your self-defence training takes every aspect of what you’ve leaned in the beginner program and put in realistic practice. Our self-defence seminars are extensive and safely executed.

Board Breaking

Board breaking is an excellent way to put what you’ve learned into realistic practice. With your protective gear, you will perform movements with power and technique to break through re-breakable boards.
